Where I belong

​

Fir, fern, and pine,

among trees I feel fine.

Be it broadleaf or palm,

here my soul sets in calm.

Close to the slope

is a place I call hope.

From the mountain so steep,

my brave heart dares to leap.

​

Among creatures of kinds,

some domestic, most wild.

I feel received and accepted,

not for one bit neglected.

​

The call of the wild,

soothes my inner child.

World and soul join in song!

This is where I belong!
